How Cleander works
What do the swipes do?
On the sorting screen: swipe up marks the photo for deletion, right likes it and makes it a Favorite in Photos, down puts it in the Selected list, left skips it without any mark. While you drag, the middle of the photo names what the swipe will do.
Is a photo deleted when I swipe up?
No. A swipe up only marks the photo. To delete, tap Apply on the album grid, or open the trash list and tap “Delete marked photos”. Cleander asks you to confirm, and then iOS asks once more.
Can I undo a decision?
Yes. The arrow under the photo takes back the last decision, also after you left the sorting screen and came back. In the trash list you can clear the marks of any photo.
I deleted a photo by mistake. Can I get it back?
Yes, for 30 days. Open the Photos app, go to Albums → Recently Deleted, choose the photo and tap Recover.
Why is the space not free right after deleting?
Deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days and still take space. To free it at once, empty Recently Deleted in the Photos app.
What does “Find duplicates” do?
It looks for exact copies of the same file in the album you have open and offers to keep one of each. It does not group photos that only look alike.
Access to your photos
Why does Cleander need access to my library?
To show your photos and to delete the ones you choose. Your photos stay on your device: Cleander does not upload them anywhere. See the Privacy Policy.
The app shows “No access to photos”.
Open the iPhone’s Settings → Apps → Cleander → Photos and choose Full Access.
